Jay Triplets

Being a SuperMom to multiples is truly a blessing in desguise. I have weekly and monthly calendars, but I seem to live ONE DAY at a time! I must tell you all that I could not do it without my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ by my side!

2nd Birthday Invite!

Ok, cards are going out but here is the official birthday invitation! http://graphicsbysindi.com/alohadinner.html

Trials and Triumphs!

I probably should not be posting today because I have lately had a few let downs and I am feeling a little depressed. It will pass. Anyhow, I did not get to go to an intro class today for a bible study program for both me and the triplets because I did not have a sitter. The intro class does not have child care, but the program has a program for two year olds so once in, they could go with me. I think it will be good for all of us. The intro class will be offered again and look forward to maybe going to that one. If it were ony offered at night!!!

The fishing trip has been cancelled....no its back on.....no its cancelled! The one person that can work formy husband, can't work. His wife is very sick and I am praying for her hourly. I was really looing forward to being alone with my husband for the weekend. Also looking forward to being ALONE during the days while he is fishing! He called and said we would go on Thursday night, and in the same conversation, said we weren't going! I am so emotionally confused. I don't know whether to be excited about going or accepting of staying home. To top it off the weekend of the trip is my birthday weekend! I don't know what is going to happen?

The babies are doing great! I love them more and more everyday! I love that they can tell me things that they "like" or "don't like." Their newest word is "donalds" for you know, McDonald's! They still LOVE books and hate food! They are signing and saying more and more words and even a few sentences now and then. I love being a mom and in two weeks my babies will be 2 years old! Can you believe it! I can't!

Runaway Life!

Sorry it has been a month since I last posted. I try every week to catch up with life in general, housework, schoolwork, laundry, appointments, etc. I feel every week like an utter failure in most areas. How do you work and and do all of this? The one area I feel succesful...I am home with my children and I am loving it!

The babies/ toddlers are growing up right before my eyes. Maryanna, who once was the tantrum queen, is now the most pleasant child ever born. If I had to take one with me anywhere, it would be her for sure. She is loving to almost everyone and she used to not let anyone but me touch her! Wow what a difference. We take her "baby" blanket with us when we leave the house, but she only uses it in the car, mostly! We she does drag it along, we wrap it around her neck like a long scarf! It is so cute when she can barely see! We all are enjoying her more and more everyday. She is signing and saying words. Some are clear some are not. She is talking, but she says what she wants to say, when she wants to say it. She does not talk all the time! Maryanna is my climber! This morning I found her strattling the top side rail of her crib! I am running out of time before the wild things are loose!

Cliff, what can I say but he has not only my heart but everyone's that he meets. He still has his thumb and in it goes whenever he is apprehensive, tired, or mad. Oh, and mad he can get! He seems to freeze up when he is mad at me. Won't walk, won't move. He will comply but he makes sure that I know that it is under duress. With two sisters, he is exposed to all kinds of toys, but thank goodness he loves balls, cars, and tools! He is obsessed with hanging out with the guys too! He talks, but we can only understand 10% of it. He will repeat what we say and that is when we can tell what he is trying to say. He smart though, he loves those "find the pictures" in the Highlights magazine. We have a book like that too and he can show every missing picture and wants to do it agan! He gets so excited that he claps for himself!

Macey says every word that she hears. She is litteraly practicing words that she knows! I think she said "baby birds" fifty times today before naptime! She says about three word together too. She has become the most head strong child. She tells us exactly what she wants and if she does not get it... she screems, throws "baby", and falls to the floor. Yes you heard me, she throws the precious baby that she has been carrying around about 18 months! I dread the day she looses it.

I took away almost all snacks and now everyone is eating great. More some days and less others but finally eating regular meals!

Macey tell us when she has pooped but I am going to wait a few more months to jump into potty training. Maryanna tells me sometimes and Cliff ALWAYS says NO and smiles that "melt your heart" smile. He may never care!

Here are some pictures that we took at Sears. It was a better experience but I still don't like their group shots. I guess it is just their age. See them all on ShutterFly!

"Close your mouth, you might catch a fly!"

Ok, if any of you know my babies, then you know that they are the strangest eaters on the planet! At almost 21 months I can not even tell you what anyone's favorite food is!!! As everyone knows, Macey is the worst! When eating baby food, she used to be our garbage can. Sge would eat anything that Cliff or Maryanna didn't. After switching to solid foods, she quit eating. Currently, she tends to eat like a bird, sampling and picking around anything served.

With all that said, tonight at dinner we all sat at the table with our mouths hanging open as Macey ate tonight by taking handfuls of noodles, green beans, and peas and shoving it into her mouth!!! She ate everything on her plate, two more helpings of noodles, chips (we were at the mexican restaurant), half of a banana, some peaches, and a tortilla!

Our family discussion on the way home was mainly centered around how Macey felt about being full, since we doubt that she has ever been full before!

They never cease to amaze me. Now, I bet that she won't eat for the next three days!

Swimming with mom!

This summer has been sooo busy. With three toddlers experiencing the world for the first time, everything is crazy! Yesterday, the babies and I went to my good friends house and swam in her pool. We all had such a good time! We did not get far from the steps but all the babies jumped in at somepoint. Maryanna and Cliff loved tp jump off the steps and go underwater! It was scarry when they both jumped at the same time!!!! Thanks Leslie and Sid for a great experience!

Ok, the prize goes to the first person to figure out what this means??? (And yes I know!)

This is Cliff's new phrase: Bomano, Bomano

Any guesses????

New Yers Resolution...Broken!

Ok, Ok! I know I NEED to update my blog! Thank goodness I have friends and family to keep me from forgetting my head, (or whatever else I need to do). I have finally broken my New Years Resolution of posting twice a month. However, I don't believe in quitting just because you messed up; I belive in starting again. So with that said...I am posting every two weeks AGAIN!

Many say that they havent posted because nothing much is happening. That is NOT the case in our house with three toddlers just discovering the world for the FIRST time! I knew, form books, that the younger you are the faster you learn... but I had NO IDEA! The babies are like sponges! If you work with them a few minutes, they have got it and they don't forget it! They are signing (baby signs), talking, dancing, jumping (not Cliff yet), and trying to sing! They are getting into everything and anything that I leave out! Macey was standing on the kitchen table yesterday!

With ALL of this going on, I have started my Masters degree in school counseling! I MUST be crazy!!!! I am attending Capella University in Arizona! Imagine that! Who knew you could get your Masters degree from your couch. After the first year, I have to go to Dallas, TX a satelite campus, for a face to face course. Yeah, a VACATION! Besides, that is where my family is. What will everyone do without MOM for a week? (Sindi, maybe you will come with me?)

I can't believe that I am coming up on another Mother's day. I can't believe my babies will be 2 in October! Well, Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms out there and especially the SuperMoms!

Pictures Coming Soon! (Skyfort, Jumping thing, and Pool)

No one warned me about...TIME CHANGE!

Change the clocks, no problem. A couple of days and you adjust. Well, adults may just adjust, and I don't remember the babies having a problem last year, but nobody informed me that toddlers (who are on a great schedule) DON'T JUST ADJUST!!!!!

The babies have been soooo ill at weird times of the day ever since the time change. I did not think it would be a big deal but it is. They just seem to get worse everyday. Tomorrow "I" will be setting their inner schedule again! I think if I am consistent for a few days they will straighten out. Pray that I have patience!

We have been to the Kidz Kloset workers' sale. I had NO IDEA! I just walked around in shock for a while. I watched about 250 women ferociously search for the items they needed. Susan (Nana) said as she looked through the clothes, "women were packed shoulder to shoulder in the rows and clothes were flying off the racks above her head, below her arms, and all around her!!! Women were dragging laundry baskets with dog leashes everywhere. Lets say that I did find some deals, missed some deals, but most of all LEARNED A GREAT DEAL! We got some summer clothes/dresses for the girls mostly. We were looking for swimsuit cover-ups and I did get 4 for $10! I got the babies three soft chairs to sit in. They love them! I looked at the bed rails and potty chairs but I had not done enough research to know what I was buying. I did get some Veggie Tales Videos that I wanted. Maryanna has decided that she wants to carry a blanket, but only a blanket with lace on the edge! I found her one while looking around, a white receiving blanket with lace and monogrammed "M"! It is perfect, perfectly sweet! We went for a toddler slide and a sandbox. We did get a slide and they LOVE the Independence. However, we missed the sandbox. :( I will post pics soon.

Maryanna Sick?...Or Not?

Thank God, the babies have really never been sick. I pray for their health everynight (and for all of my friends' multiples too). So when I do notice something wrong I am never sure if I should freak out or just wait it out. With that said...

For the last three days, Maryanna has had strong smelling urine and you know what that means ladies. Last night she woke us at about 1 am with a low grade fever. After the Tylenol kicked in she went back to bed and slept through the night. The next morning I knew I had to do something. I did NOT want my little girl to suffer with a urinary tract infection throughout the weekend if that was what was wrong with her. So I called and got her a Dr appointment for this afternoon. The Dr said that she had an ear infection (that we did NOT know about). Also, her inner lips in her vaginal area had "stuck" together! This was a first for me. I felt like a great mom, I had been too busy to notice "this problem!" My poor baby.

Well the Dr needed to confirm UT infection before treating her and a cathater was needed but due to the situation we had to go to the hospital to get it done. The Dr wrote her a perscription for an estrogen cream to put on her and said that the lips would open back up on their own with the cream. Yeah! He said that it is sometimes caused by low estrogen levels and also ordered some blood work. If she had a UT infection then he wanted an ultrasound too.

I had to take my pitiful little baby to the hospital to have blood drawn and a cathater! I was so sorry that I had to put her through all of that! When finished, we stopped for a snack at our FAVORITE mexican restaurant and a big glass of tea. We had to wait for the results before going doing anything. The nurse called and no UT infection! Yeah! The reason that we went to the Dr...she does not have it! However, she did need antibiotics for the ear and cream for her, you know.

We went to the pharmacy and it took an hour to get the meds. The poor baby was just laying in my arms. I wasn't sure how much more she could take. By the time we got home, said hello to everyone, put on her pjs, and rocked a couple of times she was fast asleep. I druged her up before she went to sleep and I hope that she rests better tonight. She looked so pitiful. Again, God answers prayers. She is sick but thanks to Him we caught an ear infection early and a developing condition before it caused an infection!

Macey and Cliff are great. I LOVE being a mom! I always knew I would.

By the way, I heard that my Grandma Holman in Dallas, TX is checking on the babies by reading the blog now! I have to say "Hello Grandma! We are looking forward to seeing you in the summer! Take care of yourself. We love you!"

Here are some pics from my camera:

Learning news things and Pushing the Limits!

Have I told everyone just how much I LOVE that I have the opportunity to stay home with the "Peas" and WATCH everything they learn and do...as they do it????

Yesterday:
Cliff decided that he was going to ride the little rocking horse that Grandpa and Grandma got them for Christmas! He did it...all by himself! He figured out how to swing his leg over and sit on it. He then discovered how to rock back and forth, and he already knew how to press the button to make the sounds. After practicing all of this...he could do all three together. He was soooo proud of himself!

Maryanna was in a climbing mood and she climbed up on the rocking chair, she then climbed up on the coffee table, and she then climbed up on their play kitchen...I found her standing in the sink!

Macey continues to amaze me. She was reading a book to herself (in her own special language) and I asked her to show me the fish. (She just saw fish in a doctors office recently and was fascinated.) She turned several pages looking at each on intently as she went. Finally, she stoped on the story of Johna and the BIG fish, brought me the book, and pointed at the FISH!

Today we went shopping. We left the house about 10am and returned around 7pm! They did not even cry! We let them run around right in front of the "Chick Fillet". They ran around and smiled at everyone at the mall. I NEVER had to get up out of my chair to go get one! I can hardly believe what I am saying they were soooo good to play right around in that one area and not run away! Three toddlers and no one escaped!

Takes all day to do hardly anything!

Thanks for the comments "supermoms"! I LOVE watching your babies grow-up on your blogs too!

Went to USA developmental clinic today for the first time! Yeah! They just wanted to take a closer look at Cliff and turns out that he is just fine. He is a little slow in verbal communication and fine motor skills and they will retest in about six months. OK, so he doesn't talk and he has trouble picking up grapes...I could have told you that! :)

Anyway we used the day to run around Mobile while we were out...made a day of it. I've discovered that children slow everything down except TIME! And traveling around with multiples just seems to multiply the effect! We left the house at 7 am and returned around 4 pm and we only went 4 places: USA Clinic, PetSmart, TGIFridays for lunch, and Hudsons. Nine hours and four stops!!!!! Does this improve with age???

What's UP this week!

Hi everyone!
Glad to say that everyone is just fine and dandy! We are all praying for our friends with sick babies and looking so forward to spring!

Eating is ALWAYS an issue with the peas. They were crying at almost every meal so I just quit trying to feed them and started giving them ALL whole foods. They can pick-up and chew just about everything now. No more crying, but they still skip meals! I just do my best to make sure they are getting very little JUNK food since every bite counts! If you moms have any secrets please let me know! Here are some pics of my Etheopian babies!

Maryanna MEOWing!

Cliff on a box... So Proud!

Macey...so tiny!

Who opened that bag of chips!!!!

As the babies become toddlers, I am amazed almost daily at what they can accomplish! Macey seems to be the smartest but Maryanna is definately the first to push the limits. Cliff tends to follow right along with Maryanna and we call them the "TWINS". Macey is much more independent, doing her own thing. Here are a few pics taken this week!

Maryanna in the Rocker!

Maryanna & Cliff on the Coffee Table!

We also got a little table this week! I love it! The babies love it too! They eat snack on it...work on puzzles there, and of course try to climb on it! But they are doing good about getting down.

Snack Time!

Keeping my Resolution...

Hello everyone. I am so sorry to hear that my friends the Cochrans and Tubres are having so much sickness right now. Do know my friends that you and your little ones are ALWAYS in my prayers.

I feel bad for you guys but I am so thankful that everyone at my house is doing well right now. We had our 15 month check-up a couple of weeks ago and all was well. Macey has not been eating well and she had lost a little weight but the Doc said he was not worried. I just quit trying to feed her baby food altogether and now she is doing much better. If she won't eat, we just let her down and she eats the next meal! Now she is beginning to eat more and more foods! Sandra, want some left over baby food???

Stats:
Macey 18.1 lbs, 30 in
Maryanna 20.0 lbs, 30 3/4 in
Cliff 22.8 lbs, 31 in

Went to Laural today to visit our cousins! Had a great time. The PEAS loved playing with Noah(5 yrs old). They got to swing outside and play on the slide too. Going to have to get swings for the summer!

Where do I begin?????

Ok everyone,
I am sorry for not posting in such a long time but sometimes I am emotionally stable, organized, motivated, on top of EVERYTHING, etc...and sometimes I am frazzled, depressed, functioning minimally, and just frustrated at myself in general. I don't know how some of you seem to keep yourselves together ALL the time!!! (Julie, Sandra)

Anyway so much has been happening with us since we last talked and I know the same is true for all of you too!

November and December were VERY busy months for us this year! Last year we just sat at home and tended to the babies...but this year they went EVERYWHERE!

First, we all went Christmas shopping with Nana and Aunt Dorthy. We had a blast!

Next, my sister had a photographer friend of hers to take the babies pictures since I HATED the ones we had done at Sears in October. We all went to Hattiesburg and had a great time. (I took extra happy medicine!) The pictures are wonderful! He seemed to really capture some very precious moments of the babies and us. I plan to use him EVERY YEAR from now on. It will be well worth the drive! You can check out his work on his website. I have added a link.

Happy Anniversary to us! We celebrated 7 years on December 22!

Christmas was very nice this year but the babies do not really understand any of it yet. Macey did open presents but nobody else seemed to care. I really can not wait until next year!!! We had a lot of time to think about the traditions that we wanted to start with the babies and how we wanted to demonstrate the "Baby Jesus" Story to them. I am excited that I get to share it with the children that I was beginning to think that might never have. I felt so blessed this season!
Pictures?? Video?? I know that we took some of both!

Not that we are spoiled in anyway to have such wonderful parents and in-laws but they all made our Christmas very special this year. I keep them in my prayers daily. I am not sure what I would do without them. This year after Christmas, the Jays, Joey's parents wanted to take a trip to the Mountains, Gatlinburg. And they wanted us ALL to go together. They helped with expenses and we all left the day after Christmas on our adventure. I was very nervous about taking 14 month old babies on such a long trip but they did very well. I have always been against DVDs and video games for my children but I think we will make an exception for VERY long trips!! Here are a few pictures of the cabin in the mountains and a picture of us at the Dixie Stampede Dinner Show!

We have settled in to 2009 really fast. There is no rest with triplets! They all got a 48 hour virus last week and Macey always gets the worst of it! She got a fever blister on her tongue! Ouch! Great, the skeleton baby didn't eat for about four days! The babies are better and playing again but now Joey has the fever and sore throat and I am having an attack of the sinuses!

We go in for their 15 month check-up this week and I will post the new stats and development!

My new years resolution??? Update my blog WEEKLY!!!
